REGENERATIVE MEDICINE & VITALITY
OUR PHILOSOPHY: FOUR PILLARS FOR A LONGER, HEALTHIER LIFE

Our mission is not simply to help people live longer. It is to help them live better, stronger, healthier, and more productive lives for as many years as possible.

At the Allende Centre, we believe the true measure of longevity is healthspan—the number of years we maintain our physical strength, cognitive function, cardiovascular health, mobility, independence, and vitality.

Our approach is built upon four fundamental pillars of health. These are the foundations of healthy aging and the starting point for everything we do.

1. OPTIMIZED NUTRITION

Nutrition is fundamental to longevity, metabolic health, cardiovascular protection, and cognitive preservation.

We advocate a predominantly plant-based, whole-food nutritional approach emphasizing vegetables, leafy greens, berries, legumes, nuts, seeds, healthy fats, and adequate protein.

We also recognize the potential value of targeted nutritional supplementation, including a quality daily multivitamin. Clinical trials have demonstrated modest cognitive benefits from multivitamin supplementation in older adults, with emerging research suggesting favorable effects on selected biological aging markers.

Our philosophy: Feed your body to protect your healthspan.

2. RESTORATIVE SLEEP

Sleep is essential for cellular repair, neurological health, hormonal regulation, metabolic function, and recovery.

We encourage approximately 7.5 hours of quality sleep nightly, with a general adult target of 7–9 hours.

Chronic sleep deprivation contributes to metabolic dysfunction, cardiovascular risk, impaired cognitive performance, and hormonal disruption.

Our philosophy: Recovery is not optional. Sleep is medicine.

3. DAILY EXERCISE, CARDIOVASCULAR FITNESS & MUSCLE PRESERVATION

Movement is one of the most powerful interventions available to extend healthspan.

We believe exercise should be consistent, sustainable, and accessible. You do not need to be a marathon runner or elite athlete to achieve meaningful longevity benefits.

Our recommendation is to establish a foundation of daily aerobic activity, ideally including:

Zone 2 aerobic exercise: Walking approximately a 20-minute mile (3 mph) while comfortably carrying on a conversation is a practical starting point for moderate-intensity aerobic activity. This conversational pace is a useful approximation of Zone 2 for many individuals, although true Zone 2 varies with individual fitness and heart-rate response.

Resistance training: At least twice weekly, targeting all major muscle groups. Preserving muscle mass is essential for insulin sensitivity, glucose metabolism, bone health, balance, strength, mobility, and independence as we age.

Mobility and balance: Maintaining flexibility, coordination, and functional movement to reduce falls and preserve independence.

Cardiorespiratory fitness, including VO2 max, is an important predictor of longevity. However, we do not believe everyone needs expensive VO2 max testing or sophisticated wearable technology to achieve substantial health benefits.

Our philosophy: Walk daily. Build muscle. Maintain cardiovascular fitness. Consistency matters more than complexity.

4. HORMONAL HEALTH & OPTIMIZATION

Hormones regulate metabolism, cardiovascular function, bone density, muscle preservation, sexual health, cognition, and overall vitality.

We believe age-related hormonal changes deserve thoughtful medical evaluation rather than simply being accepted as inevitable consequences of aging.

For women, appropriately timed menopausal hormone therapy can provide significant benefits for menopausal symptoms, bone preservation, and quality of life, particularly when initiated during perimenopause or early menopause in appropriately selected patients.

For men, identifying and treating clinically confirmed testosterone deficiency can improve sexual function, lean body mass, and other aspects of health.

Hormonal treatment must be individualized, evidence-based, and medically monitored. Our goal is physiological health, not supraphysiological laboratory numbers or hormone therapy for everyone.

Our philosophy: Preserve hormonal health to support strength, mobility, bone integrity, and vitality throughout life.

EVIDENCE OVER HYPE: OUR COMMITMENT TO SMARTER MEDICINE

The longevity industry is filled with emerging technologies, laboratory tests, supplements, and interventions marketed as essential to healthy aging.

We believe in distinguishing what is scientifically interesting from what is clinically proven.

Continuous glucose monitors, extensive biomarker panels, and sophisticated wearable devices may have appropriate applications, but more measurements do not automatically translate into better health.

We prioritize interventions that have meaningful evidence for improving clinical outcomes.

Precision medicine should mean clinical precision, not simply more testing.

OUR PROMISE

At the Allende Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Vitality, we believe that the greatest achievement in medicine is not merely adding years to life, but adding life to those years.

We begin with the fundamentals: nutrition, sleep, exercise, and hormonal health. We then build upon those foundations with individualized preventive care and evidence-based regenerative medicine when appropriate.

We do not chase every trend. We do not confuse complexity with effectiveness. We believe in medicine that makes a measurable difference in how people live.

BETTER HEALTH. GREATER VITALITY. A LONGER HEALTHSPAN.
